Michael Mansfield QCMichael Mansfield QC was called to the Bar in 1967, established Tooks Chambers in 1984 and became Queen's Counsel in 1989. He has represented defendants in criminal trials, appeals, inquests and inquiries in some of the most controversial legal cases seen in the UK, particularly where issues of civil liberties have arisen. He is Patron and President of numerous organisations including the Haldane, Amicus and Viva!, Professor and Honorary Fellow of many universities as well as being a regular contributor to public debates on numerous issues. Sir Geoffrey BindmanSir Geoffrey Bindman is a lawyer who has specialised in human rights and civil liberties for more than forty years. In 1974 he established Bindmans LLP, now one of Britain's leading civil rights practices. He was knighted in 2007 and is a regular contributor to public debates on numerous issues.
